Worcester City Women FC and the Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven are turning Sixways pink on Sunday 18 October for Breast Cancer AwarenessMonth

Celebrating 10 years of the Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven

Friday 16t October 2026

Worcester City Women FC (WCWFC), the FA WNL’s community club of the year, is

partnering with the Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven (WBUH) this Sunday, 18

October, to turn Sixways pink and raise donations for the local charity as part of

Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Fans, supporters and volunteers are being asking to join Pablo, WCWFC’s lovable

penguin mascot, and “wear it pink” for WCFWC’s home game against Notts County

Women. There will be opportunities to make donations to support WBUH before,

during and after the match.

Anything goes - from pink wigs and hats to full-on pink outfits!

Currently 800 women and seven men a year are diagnosed with breast cancer in

Worcestershire. Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven is the only local breast cancer

charity fundraising and supporting solely Worcestershire patients.  It provides

practical and emotional support to the women and men of Worcestershire with their

breast care needs, working closely with the NHS specialist breast care team to

provide the best possible care in the best possible environment.

The ground will be open from 12.30pm and kick off is at 2pm. To buy tickets for

About Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven

The Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven is a small, local breast cancer charity based

within the Worcestershire Breast Unit.  We work closely with the NHS Breast clinical

team to provide additional support and services for breast patients across

Worcestershire beyond those available through the NHS alone.

Established in 2016, the charity was created to support everyone diagnosed with

breast cancer in Worcestershire, building on the outstanding previous work of the

Worcestershire Breast Unit campaign.

Our mission is to provide compassionate, practical and emotional support to those

affected by breast cancer in Worcestershire, helping them feel informed, empowered

and never alone.   We support patients from the point of diagnosis throughout the

challenges of treatment and place a strong emphasis on rehabilitation and recovery

after treatment. This includes services designed to improve physical strength and

stamina, as well as providing valuable peer support opportunities that promote

emotional wellbeing and mental health.

All our care is free to patients.

We are an independent charity, entirely reliant on fundraising from the local

community and grants from local Trusts. In order for Worcestershire Breast Unit

charity to exist and meet the needs of local people, we need to raise in excess of

£400,000 a year.
