Notts County

Notts County Women play their home games at Coronation Park and are managed by Adam Dunleavy.

Formally known as Lincoln Ladies, who rebranded and relocated to Nottingham in 2014 and were renamed Notts County Ladies.

They reached the Women's FA Cup Final in 2015, which ended in a narrow 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at Wembley Stadium.

Their line-up that day included Lionesses legends Alex Greenwood, now at Manchester City and Ellen White, who has since retired and can be seen on the BBC working as a pundit.

The club withdrew from the Women's Super League in April 2017 and reformed as Notts County Women in May 2018.

Last time out

City welcomed newly promoted Chesterfield to Sixways, however they frustratingly fell to a 1-0 defeat after they were left to rue missed opportunities.

Notts County on the other hand also hosted a newly promoted side in Wythenshawe and found themselves on the right side of a 3-2 scoreline.

This season

Following Sunday's defeat, Worcester dropped down a place to Sixth in the FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands.

The Magpies find themselves two places and three points above City in 4th position. If City prevail with the three points on Sunday, they could be right in the mix vying for the top of the table.

Previous meetings

The two sides met in October 2025, with City taking all three points back to Worcester thanks to a 4-0 win following a 35-minute strike from winger Charlotte Poole and a hat-trick from striker Maia Clark.

In the reverse fixture at Sixways back in February, Worcester completed the double over Notts County as came away 2-1 winners, thanks to a brace from Clark.

U21s

Last Sunday, Worcester City Women U21s secured their first three points of the season at The Valley Stadium after they defeated a Redditch United Women side 3-2 thanks to goals from Freya Boucher, Chanelle Ward, and Emma Bowyer.

It’s been a long time coming for Katie Heath’s side as they have been desperately unlucky in the games they have played before Sunday's win. We caught up with Katie to get her reaction on Sundays fantastic display.

She said: “The U21s secured their first three points of the season with an excellent 3-2 victory over Redditch United.

I’m extremely proud of the players application, attitude and resilience over the past couple of weeks. Despite results not going our way, I felt we deserved more from our performances, so it was pleasing to see the hard work rewarded on Sunday.

We spent time analysing our recent performances last week to identify areas where we could gain an edge, and despite some players playing out of position the players executed the game plan brilliantly with 3 different goal scorers. They carried out our approach exactly as we’d prepared and fully deserved the result.

A fantastic effort from all 12 players and staff involved. I hope this result gives the squad the belief and momentum to build on as we move forward.”

Turning Sixways pink on Sunday in aid of Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven

We are encouraging all supporters of both Worcester City Women and Notts County Women to wear pink on Sunday in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Alongside this, we will be hosting our charity tournament, with both events raising funds for Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven. Let’s come together and make a difference because everybody knows somebody.
