This will be our third season in the FA Women’s National League since being promoted from the West Midlands Regional League Premier Division as champions in 2024, which has seen the club go from strength to strength.
Back in the club’s historic first-ever FA Women’s National League 2024/2025 campaign, they made even more history by ensuring they stayed in the division, after finishing seven points above the relegation zone in 10th position.
The 2025/2026 FA Women’s National League campaign was about consolidation, and after our final day win at Lincoln United, City confirmed another historic milestone with an incredible 5th placed finish after accumulating an unprecedented thirty-five points. City also lifted silverware last season, by claiming their second Worcestershire FA County Cup in three seasons by beating Redditch Borough in the final.

Here is how the FA Women’s National League D1 Midlands lines up
The FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands for the 2026/27 season will comprise a blend of returning clubs and new entrants arriving through promotion, relegation, and league realignment. The division continues to provide a competitive regional platform within the women’s football pyramid, with several changes to its formation ahead of the new campaign.
Sporting Khalsa join the league following their relegation from the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division. Their arrival brings a side with recent experience at the level above and adds further quality to the competition.
Two clubs have earned promotion into Division One Midlands after successful campaigns in the regional leagues. Chesterfield and Lye Town both secured their places through strong performances in the tier below and will be looking to establish themselves at National League level.
The division will also include Wythenshawe, who have been moved into the Midlands section as part of the FA's annual league allocation process. Such lateral movements are made to ensure divisions remain geographically balanced and operationally sustainable.
Joining Worcester City Women in the division are Barnsley Women, Kidderminster Harriers, Leafeild Athletic, Northampton Town, Notts County, Sheffield FC and Sutton Coldfield Town, all of whom retain their places from last season. The 2026/27 campaign will therefore feature a 12-team division, comprising a mix of established clubs alongside new arrivals through relegation, promotion and league realignment.
