Last time out

City welcomed bottom side Lincoln United to Sixways last Sunday and came away 3-0 winners, thanks to a brace from Nyah Edwards and a Jenn Higgs strike.

The win meant City now have equalled their points tally from the whole of last season, with 12 FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands matches left to play.

Northampton, meanwhile, travelled to high-flying Barnsley and left with the three points following a 1-0 win in Yorkshire, thanks to a 53rd-minute strike by Hannah Samuels.

This season

City are in 7th position in the FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands table on 13 points after 10 games and can go as high as 6th, providing we better Notts County’s result on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts, Northampton, currently sit in 10th position and could move two points behind City with a win.

Previous meetings

Back in August 2024, City were beaten 4-2 at the O’Riordan Bond Stadium, with defender Cerys Dolloway and former striker Olivia Mitcham on the scoresheet for Worcester.

Northampton completed the league double over City back in December 2024, with a 74th-minute Jade Bell goal proving to be the difference between the two sides at Sixways.
