Barnsley
Barnsley play their home games at Olympic Legacy Park in Sheffield, and are managed by Craige Richardson.
Last season in the FA Women's National League Division One Midlands, Barnsley finished in 6th place, registering 33 points, with 10 wins, 3 draws and 9 defeats.
This season, the Yorkshire side has gone from strength to strength and currently sit in 3rd position, 5 points behind leaders Peterborough United, accumulating 23 points, with 7 wins, 2 draws, and 2 losses.
Last time out
City’s game at Northampton Town last week was frustratingly postponed just before kick-off, as they looked to build on the 3-0 win against Lincoln United the previous match day.
A win that meant City had equalled their points tally from the whole of last season, with 12 FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands matches left to play.
However, Barnsley’s game at Notts County survived the downpour on Sunday as a double from Helen Lynskey to give the Yorkshire side a vital 3 points in their promotion push.

Previous meeting
City travelled to Olympic Legacy Park on the opening day of the FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands season, but were beaten 3-1 by Sunday’s opponents.
Barnsley found themselves 2-0 up at the break, City’s defender Jess Bate scored a thunderbolt ten minutes from time, but it was in vain as Barnsley added their third in stoppage time to secure the three points.
