Worcester City Women FC Welcomes Vets Team into the Club Family
Worcester City Women FC is proud to announce the official addition of a Women's Vets team to our growing football family.
This exciting development marks another step forward in our mission to empower women of all ages through football and strengthen our connection with the local community. As we continue to build a sustainable, inclusive club that supports female players from grassroots to elite level, we are delighted to now offer a clear pathway for women to continue playing the game they love at recreational level.
The Vets team, who enjoyed a successful 2024/25 season under New Dales Vale FC, will now proudly represent WCWFC. We extend our sincere thanks to New Dales Vale for the support they provided during the team's formative year. The Vets team play friendly games against other Women’s Vets teams across the country once a month.
As part of this new chapter, the Vets team will also have the opportunity to play friendly games at Sixways Stadium, including matchday appearances before our FA Women’s National League First Team—offering visibility, celebration, and connection across the club.
Nicole Allison, Owner of Worcester City Women FC, said:
“We’re thrilled to welcome the Vets team into the WCWFC family. Football is for everyone, at every age, and this move is a powerful reflection of our commitment to building a club that supports women throughout their playing journeys. It’s about creating opportunities, community, and long-lasting love for the game.”
Colette Hilson, Founder of the Vets Team, added:
“Joining WCWFC is an exciting step for our team. We’ve grown quickly in our first year and now feel part of something even bigger. The chance to play at Sixways and represent a club that genuinely values female players of all ages means the world to us. We can’t wait for what’s ahead.”
At WCWFC, we believe football is for life. This move further reinforces our commitment to providing lifelong playing opportunities and building a football community where every generation of women and girls can thrive.
We’re proud to welcome our new Vets squad to the club and look forward to the exciting times ahead.
