It’s FA Women’s National League action on Sunday, as City look to get their first win on the road since beating rivals Kidderminster Harriers 2-0 last month.
Last time out
City welcomed Stourbridge to Sixways in the penultimate home game of the season and came away 5-0 winners to make it three home wins on the bounce in all competitions, thanks to a hat-trick from in-form Maia Clark and a goal a piece for skipper, Jessica Fassnidge and game changer Jasmin Springer.
Meanwhile, Sheffield FC were narrowly beaten 1-0 by 3rd place Leafield Athletic at the Home of Football Stadium.

In form Maia Clark
Striker Maia Clark has been in red-hot form over the past few weeks, which has seen her score in six games in a row in all competitions, scoring an unprecedented eleven goals in the process. We caught up with Maia following her hat-trick, which helped City to get the three points in their 5-0 win last Sunday.
She said, “To get a hat-trick at home is a complete achievement, but other than that, I think the girls did outstanding today, kept it simple, had our priorities straight, it was a really great game.
I think the girls have trained with good intensity, and coming off from Peterborough, we’ve all reflected and rested, but it’s good to get some goals again”
Previous meeting
It was a tale of two halves at Sixways back in November as City fell to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Sunday’s opponents, Sheffield FC. Stacey Buxton opened the scoring for the visitors in the 18th minute, but Cerys Dolloway scored with an excellent strike from the edge of the box to ensure City went into the break all square.
Worcester capitulated ten minutes into the second half, as they conceded three goals in seven minutes from Lucy Trail, Lexie Butterworth, and Becky Kendell, which saw the visitors travel to Yorkshire with the three points.

This season
City have moved back up to 5th position in the FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands table following their win against Stourbridge last Sunday, sitting on 29 points after 19 games.
Meanwhile, Sheffield dropped down a place to 6th following their defeat at home to Leafield Athletic and sit three points behind City going into Sunday’s clash, but still have four games in hand.
Worcestershire FA Sunday Women’s Cup Final
Following City’s excellent 3-2 win over rivals Kidderminster Harriers in the semi-final last week, they set up a mouth-watering final against West Midlands Regional League Premier Division side Redditch Borough on Sunday, 19th April, at the Worcestershire FA (Claines Lane) with a scheduled kick-off of 13:30pm.
