Fresh from their Derby Day heroics on Thursday night, City welcomed Notts County to Sixways on Sunday in the FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands, hoping to secure back-to-back wins.
It was in the 7th minute for the game's opening chance as Notts County found themselves clean through on goal; however, the striker scuffed the shot, and the ball went wide of the post.
City had an effort ten minutes later, but the Magpies’ keeper held onto the ball.
Shortly after, the visitors, Jodie Whiteman, made a fantastic save down low to deny the visitors after they found space in the box.
Maia Clark had her first opening at goal just after the half-hour mark, but her shot went over the bar as City were looking for the opener.
Minutes later, Keeley Crew drove inside from the left and unleashed a fantastic shot that looked to be heading into the top right-hand corner. The keeper pulled off an unbelievable save to keep the scores level.
Ten minutes before the break, Clark found space in the box, but she blasted the shot wide of the post as City looked to score the opener.
Just before the break, Clark got in behind the visitors' defence, with the keeper out of the goal, but couldn’t direct her effort into the net.
Nyah Edwards had an effort ten minutes into the second half, but the ball just went over the bar.
Moments later, Jenn Higgs tried her luck by cutting inside, but the keeper palmed the ball away, and the defender cleared the danger. Within sixty seconds, Clark made a run into the box, but her effort was held by the keeper.
Two minutes later, City were ahead as Laila Rich threaded a lovely pass to Charlotte Poole, who shot, and the keeper saved, but Clark was there to bury it home.
In the 70th minute, the visitors were level after City failed to clear their lines, and the striker stabbed the ball home for the equaliser.
Ten minutes later, City were back in the lead, after a pinball in the area following a Poole cross, and the ball broke to Clark, who rifled one into the top corner to bag her brace.
There was a stoppage in play just before the 90th minute, whilst a Notts County player was receiving treatment on the pitch. Everybody at Worcester City Women wishes the player a speedy recovery.
Once the game restarted, City had a chance to kill the game off after Poole was played in behind the defence and had a clear run through on goal, but unfortunately for the winger, her shot was saved.
