Last time out
Worcester City Women travelled to The O’Riordan Stadium and picked up a vital three points on the road. Evie Billingsley gave City the lead after Billie Haynes stepped out of defence and hooked the ball up the pitch where Billingsley showed great strength to hold off the defender and stabbed the ball home.
The hosts were back on level terms just after the hour when after Worcester didn’t clear from the second stage of the dead ball and the attacker slotted the ball under Jodie Whiteman.
Four minutes from time, Annie Sime arrived at the back stick to steer the ball after a Billingsley corner was whipped in to earn Matt Jones’ a hard fought win.
The visitors, Gwalia United also claimed the three points after defeating Wycombe Wanderers Women 2-0 at the USW Sports Park.

Charlotte Poole has gone from strength to strength over the past six months and we caught up with her following Sunday’s away win at Northampton
At the end of last season you were named Most Improved Player by the coaching staff, how do you feel your game has kicked on since then?
I feel that I’m getting more consistent week in week out which I felt was missing last season, and playing in a slightly different role has allowed for me to experience the game in a different way which I feel has helped me keep improving each week.
You’ve added more goals and assists to your game this season, how have the coaches helped you with that?
The staff are all amazing here. They’ve really helped me to get into positions to get through on goal and helped with holding the ball up in the role that is still quite new to me as well as still enabling me to drift further out wider to get balls in the box still.
You look like you’re enjoying your football and are really confidence at the moment, how happy are you about that and how do you motivate yourself?
I’m loving every minute at the moment which I feel helps me to perform better on Sundays. I’m just motivated to get better and help my team each week as much as I can to get results for the team.
