In the 2024/2025 season, the Cobblers finished in 7th position and ended up finishing the season with 24 points after registering 7 wins, 3 draws and 12 defeats after a stable FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands campaign.
Previous meetings
The two sides last met back in April at Sixways where City were punished for their missed first-half chances, as Northampton Town left Sixways with a 3-1 win in Worcester’s final home game of the 2025/2026 season.
Maia Clark put City ahead ten minutes after the break, but City were immediately pegged back, and with the momentum on the visitors’ side, they scored another two to take home the three points.
In the reverse fixture in January, It was a tough match for City at the O’Riordan Bond Stadium, as Worcester went into the break a goal down.
City fought back with a Maia Clark double, with the match winner coming in the 9th minute of stoppage time, after goalkeeper Jodie Whiteman went route one and pinged a fantastic ball straight down the middle of the pitch, where Clark had ice in her veins and made no mistake in slotting the ball home to give City a precious away win.

Last time out
Worcester faced a short journey to Lye Town Women as City ran out 5-2 winners at the Lye Sports Ground thanks to a hat trick from Lowri Walker and a goal a piece for Jess Fassnidge and Annie Sime.
Meanwhile, the Cobblers earned their first win of the season following a convincing 5-1 away win at Sheffield FC.

Lowri Walker: “I think it was really positive to get the three points today especially after the last league game. We’ve got momentum now and it was a little bit scrappy in places, but we made it work, we managed the game, we got the three points and that’s all that matters.”
“The girls are ready for it and we just want to keep this momentum going and whether it’s home or away we just want to get the ball rolling and get some more goals.”
