#21 Laura Davies

Laura’s footballing journey so far:

Laura started playing at a young age with her two older brothers and wasn’t aware of any girls teams to play for at the time. She represented her school, playing for the Bboys'team, but didn’t play competitively until age 15/16.

She played for the University of Worcester during her studies, alongside West Bromwich Albion at club level. After uni, she played locally for Hereford Pegasus & Hereford Lads Club, before moving to the Welsh Women’s Premier League representing Abergavenny Women and in more recent years Swansea City Ladies.

Laura enjoyed two league trophies during her time at Swansea City, as well as two cup trophies and three Champions League Qualifier campaigns. Making her debut against Greece Champions PAOK FC was a highlight of mine and shortly after she was able to play at the Swansea.com Stadium.

She joined Worcester City Women halfway through the 2022/2023 season, enjoying promotion since then and looking forward to getting back on the pitch for the 2025/26 season after recovering from injury.

Life off the pitch…

Off the pitch, Laura’s job involves supporting anyone who has been affected by crime or traumatic events. Although it is tough job at times, Laura finds the role a very rewarding one.
