Jess’ footballing journey so far:

Played locally growing up before heading to the United States on a Football Scholarship where I played collegiate football for 4 years at Eastern Florida State and Flagler College, respectively. During my time I was lucky enough to play with and against some incredible players. Named as NJCAA all tournament 11 team for both seasons at EFSC, where I was lucky enough to captain the side. We made the NJCAA finals but lost 3-1. During time at Flagler I was named MVP in my first season and enjoyed two seasons before graduating with a Business and Marketing Degree and then becoming an assistant coach at Flagler for a year. Then returned home and took a break from playing to coach / manage. Got back into football playing for Redditch United before the pandemic stopped our successful season. Finally returned to where I belong, my heart, which has always been with Worcester City Women FC. Been here for 6-7 years.

Tell us a bit more about your life off the pitch…

I am a lecturer in Sport & Exercise Science at the University of Worcester, Academy Manager at Science for Sport, and I am aiming to work on some research in the women’s football area.

Love playing padel, spike ball and a board game night! Still trying to be a kid but collecting trading cards for both men’s and women’s football. Watch United whenever I get the chance.
