Jess’ footballing journey so far:

Jess began her football journey playing locally in the UK before earning a Football Scholarship to the United States, where she spent four years playing collegiate football at Eastern Florida State College and Flagler College.

During her time at Florida, Jess captained the side, was named to the NJCAA All-Tournament XI in both seasons, and led her team to the NJCAA Finals.

At Flagler College, she was named MVP in her first season, competing for two successful years before graduating with a degree in Business and Marketing. Jess then transitioned into coaching, serving as an Assistant Coach at Flagler College for a year.

After returning to England, she took a short break from playing to focus on coaching and management, before joining Redditch United. When the pandemic interrupted that season, Jess made her return to WCWFC, the club she describes as her “footballing home.” She’s now been part of WCWFC for 6–7 years, contributing both on and off the pitch.

Life off the pitch…

Jess works as a Lecturer in Sport & Exercise Science at the University of Worcester and serves as Academy Manager at Science for Sport. She’s also developing research in women’s football, aiming to support the growth of the game.

In her spare time, Jess enjoys playing padel, spikeball, and board games, and has a love for collecting football trading cards, both men’s and women’s. She’s also a devoted Manchester United fan, watching the team whenever she can.
