Last time out

City fell to a 2-1 defeat at Sixways in FA Women’s National League Plate First Round action on Sunday. Nyah Edwards gave City the lead to score her first City goal; however, a quick-fire double from the visitors, Halifax, ensured the Yorkshire side advanced to round 2.

Meanwhile, Port Vale welcomed Redditch Borough to Emery’s Stadium in league action, but were defeated 4-2 in the tier 5 West Midlands Regional League Premier Division match.

So far in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup

City secured Sunday’s clash in the first round proper thanks to a 3-1 win away at Stanground Cardea earlier in the month, thanks to a header from Annie Sime, a first City goal for Laila Rich and Keeley Crew rounded it all off after the hosts got back into it.

Port Vale ensured their progress after beating Coton Green 2-1 away from home in the second round qualifier and then with a 3-0 win in Leicestershire at River City
