England, United Kingdom, February 2024: Worcester City Women FC proudly announces a special match scheduled for International Women's Day, on Friday 8th March at 8pm, to be held at the Sixways Stadium in Worcester. The upcoming game promises an exciting celebration of women's football featuring our talented team and dedication to promoting the sport in the local community.

The unique evening game is an opportunity for fans to celebrate and come together to support the growth of women’s football in the region. Under the leadership of Worcester-born Nicole Allison, our club has gone from strength-to-strength and we hope to bring fans together for this special Friday night match. The evening also marks three years since Nicole took over her home-town club, making us one of the few female-owned football clubs in the country.

We are currently sitting top of the West Midlands Regional Women’s Football League with  hopes to get promoted to The FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands next season.

The recent relocation to Sixways Stadium for the 23/24 season has enhanced attendance and fostered the growth of women's football locally and we anticipate an influx of fans coming together at the stadium on International Women’s Day.

Nicole Allison, CEO of Worcester City Women FC, expressed her enthusiasm for the historic game: "This International Women's Day match is a testament to our commitment to advancing the women's game and putting Worcester on the map for women's football, all while creating memorable experiences for our fans and the residents of Worcester. Three years since takingover the club have flown by with many successes along the way and we feel this match is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the club’s growth, talent and passion on this special occasion."

The evening will also include an appearance from TV’s favourite, guest of honour and Worcester City Women FC alumni Livi Sheldon who will be available for meet and greet and photos.
