Worcester City Women 16 v 1 Meadow Park | Worcestershire County Cup

Nov 21,2021

A dominant performance and 16-1 victory against Meadow Park of the Midwest Counties Division, saw us ease into the next round of the Worcestershire County Cup.

It didn’t take too long for Worcester to find their groove in the match as a minute in, D’oyen Fitchett struck hard and low to find the bottom corner.

Just over 10-minutes later, a deflected shot from Colbourne, who was making her home debut, made it 2 and shortly afterwards, Wallis joined in, scoring her first of the season for City weaving between the Meadow Park midfield and sent a looping shot over the keeper and into the top left, making it 3-0.

City continued their riot, this time it was Farr smashing home a superb 25-yard effort, followed by Wallis getting a double and ending the 45 with a stunning, curling strike from Rew, giving us a 6-0 lead heading into the break.

Worcester started the second half perfectly, by winning the ball back from kick off, and Mulcock slotting the ball home from the right-hand side to make it 7. Shortly after, Collins stepped up to take a penalty and sent the keeper the wrong way seeing the tally go up to 8.

Rew and D’oyen Fitchett went on to get braces, whilst Farr went on to get 3 more goals in 5 minutes taking her tally to 4. City conceded an own goal before Colbourne got on the end of a whipped cross from the right to make it 15 and finally, Baldwin got herself on the scoresheet at the very end making it 16-1 to City.

Shout out to Meadow Park, who were a pleasure to host today and had fun regardless of the result!
