England International Beach Soccer star and ex-Spurs Women player Wendy Martin has joined Worcester City Women’s coaching staff for the 21-22 season.

Wendy spent the majority of her career leading the line at Tottenham Hotspur Women, scoring countless goals to help the club climb the football pyramid into the Women’s Super League and since her retirement in 2019 has represented England and Team GB in Beach Soccer.

She joins the coaching staff at the club to support our players at all levels by delivering coaching masterclasses, Q&A sessions and providing invaluable guidance for all Worcester City players.

Speaking of her appointment, Wendy said “I look forward to talking to the talent at the club about their aspirations, as well as sharing my advice, guidance and passion for the sport.’

“Football has opened many doors for me and has helped me grow so much as an individual, it will be good to give something back to the sport by helping young players who are at the start of their careers. These are exciting times for Worcester City Women and I feel privileged to be part of their journey.”

The club is delighted to welcome Wendy and wishes her the best of luck for the upcoming Euros in Portugal, where she will be sponsored by WCWFC!
