Worcester City Women Welcome Annie Highway To The Club

Worcester City Women are pleased to confirm the signing of experienced midfielder, Annie Highway.

The 34-year-old attacking midfielder joins having last played for Boldmere St. Michael’s in tier four of the football pyramid.

Despite being injured for the past six months through a wrist injury, Highway is determined to be back to her best and play her best football at the club.

On her arrival at Sixways, Highway admitted that she spoke to some of the players before joining, whilst also outlining her ambition to win. She said: “I’m super excited to join Worcester City. A great setup and great players and staff. They want to progress the game in the right way and care about the players.

“I knew a few of the girls beforehand and they always spoke highly of the club and the club cares about the players and wants to progress the club in the right way.
