Worcester City Women FC is delighted to confirm its Coaching Staff for the forthcoming 23/24 Season.
We are delighted to welcome several new coaches across all 3 WCWFC teams. James Evans joins as Head of Strength and Conditioning, supported by Tom Cole, who has been at the club for two years already whilst studying at the University of Worcester. Tom graduated in the summer and remains at the club to work closely with James.
Jenna Lepore, who recently retired, joins the First Team as Assistant Coach alongside Jen Anslow as First Team Coach.
Matt Tally will now take charge of all First Team affairs becoming First Team Manager. ‘Tally’ spent his first season with WCWFC as Assistant Coach to Matt Lock in 22/23 and has built a fantastic reputation in the local area as a passionate, energetic and outstanding coach. Matt Lock will now move into a mentorship role, working alongside Tally and all coaches and players across our pathway.
Jett Reid and Louie Lewis join as Development Team Coaches, working alongside Ty Patrick as Head Coach, Danielle Browne and Julia West, who remain in their current roles.
Jett has a long-standing history in women’s football in Worcester having previously been involved in Worcester United and still coaches in youth girls football across the County. Louie has previously played at Kidderminster Harriers Academy and has coached local men’s teams and is now embarking on his coaching career.
Our new U18 team will be led by Head Coach Emma Collins, supported by Issey Lee-Fisher as Assistant Coach and David Roberts as Coach. Emma, who has played for WCWFC for over 3 years, has a strong educational background in Football Coaching having graduated from the University of Worcester. Issey, also an University of Worcester alumni, is a Football Development Officer for the Worcestershire Football Association. The U18s will regularly be supported by WCWFC players who wish to develop their coaching aspirations.
We’re extremely proud of our Coaching Staff, who are incredibly passionate about developing people and players. We have a healthy mix of male and female coaches, with 64% of our coaching staff being female. Jett, Dani, Julia, Emma and Issey are all part of the Worcestershire FA Women’s Coach Development Group, who receive coach mentoring support and we’re delighted to support them in their coaching journey.
