Jenna Lepore hangs up her boots to take on a coaching role at WCWFC

As the excitement builds towards the new 2023/24 season, former Worcester City Women player, Jenna Lepore, looks ahead to what the new season might hold in her new role as Player and Development Officer for the club.

Having joined in 2021, Lepore also acts as Assistant Manager at City. The former midfielder is now looking forward to supporting the team in whichever way she can, whilst also building towards her UEFA B license.

Hear what Jenna had to say after speaking with reporter Todd Sasin:

How can you sum up your time as a footballer, and at Worcester City FC?

"Since I joined in 2021 the club has just gone nuts! In a good way! Every person there is aiming for the same goal, enjoying the highs and lows of football, and bringing their individuality to a great group of people."

How excited are you for the season ahead?

"So excited! We have started work already and it’s been such a learning curve. The staff and players have been so supportive and motivating to work with. We all bring something different to the table and we are not afraid of honesty.

We are aiming for promotion so it’s not going to be a comfortable ride, we will be there to support each other but also recognise we might hit some bumps along the way. I’m so hyped to have Sixways Stadium as our home ground! What a pitch!"

What exactly will you be doing now your part of the staff at WCWFC?

So, I’ll be supporting the First-Team manager; and coaching, having one-to-ones with the players, and linking in with other staff members to provide the best platform for our players to thrive. I’ll be leading on IDPs, so players have a focus on where they want to go and make their own choices on how to improve.

Finally, I am hoping to start my UEFA B license in January which will add to my knowledge and the coaching team.

Everyone at WCWFC is delighted to still have Jenna as part of La Familia!
