Jenn Higgs Injury Update

The club can confirm that Jenn Higgs is likely to miss the remainder of the season after sustaining a foot injury during the 6-2 win over Solihull Sporting last weekend which forced her to be subbed off during the first half of the game.

Jenn went straight to hospital following the injury and has since been working closely with the clubs physio Ed who has the following update:

"After Jenn had her x-ray, it was reported that she suffered a navicular fracture on her left foot, along with some extensive soft tissue damage. Jenn will be seeing a specialist this week for further assessment and we will work alongside them to get her back on the pitch as soon as possible."

Since the injury, Jenn has been overwhelmed by the support she has received and has said the following: "I want to say thank you to everyone for your support and kind messages following my injury from Sundays game. Unfortunately that's probably the season finished for me but I will definitely be supporting from the side lines."

Manager Matt Lock was gutted following Jenn's injury last Sunday: "I'm absolutely gutted to not have Jenn for the foreseeable future and I am even more gutted for Jenn. She has had such a great season, she has contributed on and off the pitch. I am confident Jenn will come back fighting fit to continue her progress."

Everyone at the club would like to wish Jenn a speedy recovery and we can't wait to get her back on the pitch.
