Worcester City Women FC raise £500 for partner NCW

Updated: Oct 6, 2021

Worcester City Women FC have raised £500 for New College Worcester after it was announced earlier this summer that the two organisations had come together to raise important funds for the College whilst providing the students, who are all blind or vision impaired, with more ways to engage with football alongside a fantastic fan experience on Worcester City Women’s match days at Claines Lane. The club raised the money through hosting a fun fantasy football league during the UEFA Euros 2020 which also provided a first, second and third prize to Worcester City fans from far and wide. Worcester City Women’s first team captain Harley Jean Simpson thanked the fans for taking part and supporting the cause to raise critical funds for NCW; ‘it was great to see so many of our fans take part in the fantasy football league the club hosted and in return generate so much money for NCW. The College does amazing work in the community and we’re proud to be partnering with them and grateful to our fans for supporting.’ Worcester City Women will continue to support NCW throughout the season and proudly wear the NCW logo on their training tops.
